TFD ... OUR Legacy
With a heritage of 35 years, TFD is firmly established in the Third Party Logistics (3PL) arena in southern Africa and offers extensive experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market.
Specialising in ambient consumer products, TFD was formed in 1975 when Irvin and Johnson (I&J), together with the Tongaat-Hulett Group launched a joint dry grocery products distribution company called IJT (Pty) Ltd.
During 1996, Namibian Stock Exchange listed CIC Holdings acquired 51% of TFD, whereafter the name of the company changed from Tongaat Food Distributors to what is known today as TFD Network Africa.
IMPERIAL Logistics acquired TFD in December 2005. This strategic alliance enables us to continue to be a leading "3PL" business and Lead Logistics Provider (LLP).
Today TFD specialises in the warehousing and distribution of both retail consumer goods and pharmaceutical products in the southern Africa.
